The Hurt Locker is a '08 American war film about an elite army bomb squad that must come together in a city where everyone is a potential enemy and every object could be a bomb.
The movie opens with a quote "The rush of battle is a potent and oftent lethal addiction for war is a drug." The story revolver around a 3-member team with Jeremy Renner as William James "the guy in bomb suit." James' maverick, run&gun cowboy type attitude with a completely fearless mind catches the attention as the movie unfolds with thrill, suspense and extremities of emotions. The movie has won 6 Oscars including Best Director to Kath, which made her the 1st woman to win it in that category. The film was also successful financially beating out current highest grossing film Avatar(directed by Kath's ex-husband Cameroon).
One expects the movie to be noisy because of its war tag but surprisingly sits in meditative silence and realistic military slangs and locations make it a must watch movie, justified by the 97% rating on Rotten tomatoes.
